📺 SHOWS
Never Have I Ever 🎓
Season: 4 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
Everyone ending up in a relationship felt a little bit forced. Well, it was a good final season; I was getting kinda tired already, so it's better that they finished it. Maybe a new show set in college with new characters will be a fresh start. My complaint: Aneesa not getting enough screentime. Feels like they used her in the last season to advance the plot and then forgot about her.
Heartbreak High 🗺️
Season: 4 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★★★★☆☆
I loved this show! The perfect teen drama. For me, it's at the same level as Sex Education, and that's saying a lot! I hope they continue with it.
Manifest 🌋
Season: 4 / Part: 2 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
They wrapped things up pretty fast (compared to previous seasons), and it was a fine ending. It felt a little bit predictable and cliché, with everything ending up like a dream situation (I know, not exactly), but I still enjoyed how things concluded.
Black Mirror 📺
Season: 6 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
I was so excited after that Awful Jen episode; the season started on top with classic Black Mirror. But things kinda went downhill for me; the episodes were ordered from best to worst. The last 2 episodes were really, really bad.
RuPaul's Drag Race 🥦
Season: 12 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★★★★★☆
I've only watched Drag Race España, so this was my first USA season. And honestly, wow, I loved all the queens, especially Jaida and Gigi. Gigi doing the robot in the Snatch Game was probably the funniest thing in Drag Race herstory for me. Also, I really liked Jaida, so I'm glad she won.
RuPaul's Drag Race 🎀
Season: 13 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★★★★☆☆
After the spectacular Season 12, the hype was high for me. It wasn't as good, but definitely a great season too. I really liked the four finalists. I don't get why Kandy receives all that hate; I found her really funny. My faves were Gottmik and Symone, so I'm happy with the results, although I think Gottmik winning would be more fair.
Drag Race España 🌩️
Season: 3 / Platform: ATRESplayer / Score: ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
Honestly, after Season 2, they had it really difficult to maintain the same level. Also, they knew they'd make an All Stars season afterward, and you can tell they eliminated some of the best queens too early. Pitita is really talented, but they made it too easy for her to win. My favorites are Clover Bish and Pakita; I love them! Clover, miss todo, fuiste robadisima!
Valeria 🛋️
Season: 3 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆
The show has gotten better compared to that awful Season 1. Still, the plot is really bad and gets boring with every chapter you watch. The best part of this show is the soundtrack.
selftape 🍰
Season: 1 / Platform: Filmin / Score: ★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
I didn't enjoy it; I disliked a lot of things about it and how they act. I respect how they feel, but maybe with some therapy, there wouldn't be so much drama.
🎨 ANIMATION
Human Resources 🦋
Season: 2 / Platform: Netflix / Score: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
I like this show better than Big Mouth; the characters are funnier, and the story is more interesting. So sad they canceled it.
🎌 ANIME
Demon Slayer 🗡️
Season: 3 / Score: ★★★★★★★★☆☆
Yeah, I think this season wasn't as good as the previous one, but I still enjoy this show soooo much. The animation is perfect, and I'm in love with all the characters. That ending made me want to burn the world for a moment; just incredible. Can't wait for Season 4.
📺 FILMS
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania 🐜
Platform: Disney+ / Score: ★★★★★★★★☆☆
After Wakanda Forever, my expectations were pretty low, but honestly, this was a fine movie. The plot is basic as always lately, but it has some fun and surreal moments that were amazing.
Have you played or watched any of these? What's your opinion?
I totally get where you're coming from! The Awful Jen episode was indeed a stellar start, capturing that classic Black Mirror vibe perfectly. However, I have to agree that the season seemed to take a bit of a nosedive afterward. The episode order did feel a bit uneven, with a noticeable shift in quality.
And yes, the last two episodes left me somewhat underwhelmed too. It's always a bit disappointing when a season doesn't maintain a consistent level of excellence throughout. Here's hoping the next installment gets back on track!
Cheers,
Victor.
